A house on the corner of Edmondson and Preston is being torn down this afternoon — approximately 24 hours after a source told me that the home was recently remodeled, with many of the improvements getting stripped away just weeks later. Developing.
I saw someone watering down the debris this morning… because the house had just been remodeled (extensively!), I assumed there had been a fire or something. Silly me.
In my opinion, from beginning to end, is sad, sad, sad. I’m still waitng for the “new ideas” from the “plea” letter mailed out to each HP resident in support of the HPCL slate. I guess the only conceivable way for the HP Town Council to pay for the millions of overruns in the capital improvement plan is to demolish HP and put up higher yielding taxable homes.
I believe give some incentive to keep homes and restore them. Get elected and run the town in fiscal red ink. Now that’s a grand new idea.
They had the new and improved floorplans on MLS at one point.
