Can You Name This Boy?
In preparation for our 30th anniversary, I’ve been reading old editions of Park Cities People. On Feb. 4, 1982, we published a front-page story about prisoners visiting McCulloch Middle School to warn kids about the dangers of drugs. One of the students quoted in that story is pictured here. This boy grew up to be a man who is often quoted in 21st-century editions of Park Cities People. If you can tell me his name in the comments, I’ll buy you a frozen yogurt.
Max?
Kmom, I need a full name, please.
Max Fuqua, owner of Plaza Health Foods
Kirk Dooley
We have a winner-and-a-half. That moppet did indeed grow up to be Max Fuqua, the owner of Plaza Health Foods.
Kmom and rb, I’ll e-mail you to arrange when we can call on Max soon. We might as well get the froyo at his place.
I can’t think of the name (it’s driving me crazy)….but you all are thinking of people who were older at that time. This person, based on the age at that time, would be in their early 40’s right now….
What other freaking Max do we talk about and to around here? Half….hrrmph.
dooley was 27 in 1982.
What a cutie!
