Agents Swarm University Park Home

Tuesday evening readers began inquiring about this scene on Hanover. Several black SUVs pulled up with flashing lights and agent-ish type men got out wearing bullet proof vests.

Domestic dispute? Terrorists? Nope. It was a child’s birthday party. I’m unsure if it was the theme of the party and the men were entertainment (which feels kind of male stripper to me) or if there was a distinguished young guest traveling with a posse.

    Merrit – You clearly have issues. What a private citizen is doing for his/her birthday is an interest of yours? You’re obsessed enough to take a photo and tell others about it?
    Where did it all go wrong for you?

    @XT- As I mentioned in the post, this was a reader inquiry (well several readers). One reader sent the photo above. I never saw it. But it’s a picture of the street, not like a zoom lens through the window of his bedroom or anything.

    @XT,

    Seems like news to me when men with bulletproof vests jump out of SUV’s with siren lights on. it was on a public street that led to questions from people who saw it. It wasn’t in the privacy of their home or in the back yard, it was in full public view. Why isn’t that news?

    These undercover police cars (4) with sirens and lights flashing went zooming down our block of a street adjacent to Hanover a few minutes apparently before they stopped at the party. They caused quite a stir and neighbors to hurry out of their homes to see what was going on with undercover cop cars. We were on our way in the car to search for a neighbors lost dog and stumbled upon this “party”on Hanover. All the lights and sirens were flashing in front of home who’s yard was filled with children. I stopped to ask the “policeman” what was going on and he told me “its for a childrens party”. I replied “all these sirens and zooming through the neighborhood for a party??” He said yes, and then told leaned closer to whisper “it’s actually for the Make a Wish Foundation.” Not so sure about that. Sounded like a good explanation that would shut me down, but I’m in doubt.

    The Make-a-Wish Foundation brought in Justin Bieber for a kid’s party is an excellent explanation for me (considering it is none of my business anyway).

    Hey Merritt, did you check with Chief Adams to see if that was ok?? Sounds like you might have a another case on your hands.

    Just another example of the wretched excess of the little park cities. Over the top parents trying to do something bigger and better than their neighbors. Riding the slippery slope of cultural decay. Teaching their children the values of the rich.
