Vision Africa Banquet Inspires

Last night, my wife and I were the guests of Park Cities People columnist Talmage Boston and his wife, Claire, at the Vision Africa Celebration Banquet. Held at Park Cities Baptist Church, the event was a fundraiser for Vision Africa, a nonprofit founded by Perkins School of Theology graduate Sunday Onuoha. There were several inspiring moments during the events, but the most visually impressive was a performance-art piece by an artist whose name I did not catch. As we were dining, he used his bare hands to paint this portrait of Jesus. It was later auctioned for $1,500, benefiting Vision Africa of course. Read more in Talmage’s column in next Friday’s paper.
