Allison Wade & Blake Ezell
Allison Anne Wade and Blake Andrew Ezell exchanged wedding vows June 19 at Highland Park United Methodist Church in Dallas. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Linda Roby and the Rev. Gary Brandenburg. A reception with dinner and dancing followed at the Pavilion at the Belo Mansion.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Paul Douglas Wade of University Park. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Lewis Stewart of Granger, Ind., and the late Dr. and Mrs. Henry King Wade Jr. of Hot Springs, Ark.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Herschel Francis Ezell III of Dallas. He is the grandson of Mrs. Patricia Lou Hill and the late Dr. James Richard Hill of Dallas and the late Mr. and Mrs. Herschel Francis Ezell Jr. of Midland, Texas.
For her wedding, the bride selected a strapless gown designed by Priscilla of Boston. The elegant dress was hand embroidered with intricate floral details, and encrusted with a variety of crystals, pearls, and beads throughout the layers of silk organza. The gown featured a sweetheart neckline and low back. An English net, ruched sash was draped at the bride’s natural waistline. Crystal buttons aligned the back of the dress and cascaded down to the sweep train, which was accented with a double inverted pleat. She chose to wear a fingertip-length, sheer veil, accented with a silk trim to complete her ensemble.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted down the aisle by her father. Attending as matrons of honor were Erica Elyse Ladwig and Gillean Pearson Wade, sister-in-law of the bride. Bridesmaids included Anna Morgan Acheson-Snow, Mary Kathryn Hopkins, Allison Leigh Karlak, cousin of the bride Elizabeth Ann Lowrey, and Courtney Elizabeth O’Reilly.
The best men were Chase Christopher Ezell and Nicholas James Ezell, both brothers of the groom. Groomsmen included Benjamin James Breunig, David Lewis McMahan, Clayton Choice Smith, brother of the bride Stewart Douglas Wade, and Thomas Benton Williams.
Ushers were Matthew Lane Beddoe, Dustin Clifton Derrick, Brian Francis McNally, and Matthew Glynne Mildren. The house party included Lauren Elizabeth Havens, Hailey Ann Robinson, and Sarah Marie Thomas. Thomas Constantine Lowrey, cousin of the bride, was the scripture reader, and Kensington Kathryn Lou Ezell, niece of the groom, was the flower girl.
Music was provided by organist Chris Brunt, soloist Janelle Pendleton, and the Gyros Strings Quartet.
The bride is an honors graduate of Highland Park High School. She is a cum laude graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Arts in speech communication and journalism. She is a member of Chi Omega sorority and received her Master of Education in secondary education from Southern Methodist University. She is an eighth-grade literature teacher in Frisco ISD.
The groom is a graduate of Lake Highlands High School and Texas Tech University where he received a Bachelor of Arts in public relations. He is a property manager for Hopkins Commercial Real Estate.
Following their wedding trip to Costa Rica, the couple now reside in Frisco, Texas.
