Re: Principle’s Parking Spot is Causing Quite a Stir
So the sign is still there today and the principal is parked in the space. I feel certain she’s noticed the sign. But maybe not. Please choose one of the following:
- Administration thinks it cute and plans to leave it as is.
- Administration hasn’t noticed.
- Administration does not want to hurt the feelings of the person who put it there.
- Other, please specifiy.
I vote for Administration takes a digital snapshot and puts it up on every Active Board for a live grammar session. It’ll come down about five minutes after pickup that way!
4. She’s a principal with principles, and she parks them there.
5. Administration tried to correct the sign by inserting the ‘a’ and deleting the ‘e’. Green initiative: don’t waste paper on a new sign.
4. The Administration asked a child do this, feels it’s mildly cute along the lines of “LƎMONAᗡƎ STAИᗡ,” and doesn’t want to traumatize an elementary school kid by drawing disproportionate attention to an innocent error (made by many adults), as has now been done twice on this blog?
@Adam:
It’s a school. If they don’t fix it, that illiterate sign will end up on cable news, with all the well-deserved jokes about the school with the “exemplary” rating that can’t teach its kids how to spell “principal” on the principal’s reserved parking sign.
I’m sending a picture of the sign to Jay Leno. LOLZ
