Who Left the Dog Doo-Doo? There’s an App for That.

Good Morning America has a story about a Dallas man who, via  iPhone app from across the country, was able to see burglars trying to gain access to his home. That’s cool. But the best part of the story was GMA correspondent Becky Worley revealing that she too has installed the system on her property but not to bust criminals, she’s been looking for a neighborhood dog that uses her yard as a toilet. There’s an app for that. And if you live in the Park Cities, you need it too.

What is with these people with dogs that allow their dogs to poop in my yard? I’ve been thinking of getting one of those deer feeder cameras, but, I would only know who they are after the deed is done. Maybe an iPhone app that alerts me would be better. I would love to catch them “in the act”.

Guru, I’ve been wondering the same thing for years. Huge poop problems in my yard for all the years I lived in UP (10+). I live in Preston Hollow now, all my neighbors have dogs and I’ve not had one pile in my front yard in nearly 2 years. I miss the bubble terribly but what is it about Park Cities dog owners?

I am often the dumping ground for other park city pets’ poop. I walk my dog with one or two bags just in case. I have on occasion had to use someone’s news paper bag in a pinch but i put the paper safely at their front door. I wish there was something to help catch offenders in the act! I’m not a fan of the “no doggie’s here” signs i’ve seen some places….
