Well, at least in August.
The Greenhill Hornets and new head coach Jeff Hollway opened practice today with a morning and afternoon workout. The thermometer read around 102 degrees when they wrapped things up around 1:30. Hollway said they were being extremely cautious with the heat.
The Hornets, who finished 1-9 last season, will scrimmage Fort Worth Trinity Valley at home on Aug. 14. Greenhill will then scrimmage at Fort Worth All Saints on Aug. 19, before opening the regular season Aug. 27 against Fort Worth Country Day.
