It’s Like Rain (And Petty Theft) On Your Wedding Day
While there is no mention made of anyone getting cold feet, it sure seems that Saturday night’s wedding at Royal Lane Baptist Church could have gone smoother. Seems that, during the ceremony, the room in which the bride and bridesmaids were keeping their things (because no one wants to be holding their purse while their getting married) was broken into. Several things were stolen, including a $500 Canon digital camera, several credit cards, and $140 cash, according to police reports.
For those who speak police-ese, here’s the narrative included in one of the complaints filed with police:
COMPLAINANT STATED THAT SHE WAS AT OFFENSE LOCATION FOR A WEDDING. COMPLAINANT
STATED THAT THE BRIDE MAIDS AND THE BRIDE LEFT THEIR BELONGINGS IN THE ROOM,
WHERE THEY WERE CHANGING. COMPLAINANT STATED ON LISTED DATE AND BETWEEN THE
LISTED TIMES UNKNOWN SUSPECT(S) REMOVED THE LISTED PROPERTY FROM HER PURSE
WITHOUT PERMISSION. COMPLAINANT STATED THAT SHE CALLED ON 7-3-10 TO CANCEL HER
CREDIT CARD AND FOUND OUT THAT THE CREDIT CARD HAD NOT BEEN USED. COMPLAINANT
STATED THAT OTHER MEMBERS OF THE WEDDING PARTY, INCLUDING THE BRIDE, HAD
