So, I see that a Pinkberry’s is going in at Southwestern and Greenville. Just how many frozen yogurt places can survive in a five-square mile area? Is frozen yogurt the new Starbucks?
… and there actually isn’t a Starbuck’s on upper Greenville any more! As far as I can tell, you have to go west all the way to Preston Center for a fix.
Starbuck’s @ Greenville and Caruth Haven is closer. Speaking from experience, you gotta sell a lot of frozen yogurt to stay in business. Plaza Health Foods was part of the original frozen yogurt boom in the 70’s. We survived the first bust and business is better than ever during this current second wave, but the balloon will burst again. All I can say is, go try the rest, then come to my place to have the best! FREE YOGURT FOR THOSE WHO MENTION THE BLOG!
Is Pinkberry worth a premium price over McDonalds soft serve(for a buck) or a Wendy’s Frosty(for a buck)? You know, since they are virtually across the street and all.
dallas cowgirl- Do you know what the best publicity is? ANY publicity. Thanks for getting our name out there one more time! Come on everybody, try the worlds worst frozen yogurt at PLAZA HEALTH FOODS… It’s disgusting!!!!!!
At my Birkenstock mom’s insistence, we tried Pinkberry up at Royal and Preston — specifically, the chocolate and pomegranate flavors. Ick. Not to mention the unsanitary pebble floors full of kid-spill soak-it-up crevices. Seems like a California fad that will die fast here.

Northwest Highway just east of Central (next to 1/2 Price Books) is probably a little closer.

I wouldn’t eat that Plaza Health Food Yogurt if you paid me.
Wow, DC, I count that as one Pinkberry vote. Will wait for more reviews before trying them out.
That was a fairly rude reply to Max’s generous offer, dallas cowgirl.

Forget Pinkberry and Red Mango. Menchies in HP Village is the best. I hope it survives all the competition.
