One Convenient Interview
I don’t know if you’ve had a chance to read my story on Richard and Beth Wallace in this week’s Preston Hollow People. The couple and their family donated a sculpture to Children’s Medical Center of Dallas after their son, Logan, had a successful heart surgery at the hospital shortly after he was born in 2007.
When I was setting up the interviews with the Wallaces, they were about to leave town to go to Disney World for a week. I called Richard on his cell phone on Sunday, June 6. He told me he couldn’t talk because he was getting ready to go to the Texas Rangers game against Tampa Bay. It just so happened I was, too.
Hence, I did my first non-sports interview for a story while sitting in the stands for a Major League Baseball game. Pretty cool stuff. Except for the heat, I would be good with doing all of my interviews during Rangers games at the Ballpark.
