Spieth Set For Second PGA Tour Event
Less than a month after finishing tied for 16th — and taking the tournament by storm — at the HP Byron Nelson Championship, Jesuit rising senior and two-time defending Class 5A state champion Jordan Spieth, 16, will take his second crack at a PGA Tour event starting tomorrow at the St. Jude Classic in Memphis.
Spieth, who failed to qualify for the U.S. Open earlier this week, received a sponsor’s exemption to play in the St. Jude Classic, just like he did for the Byron Nelson.
Spieth will tee off around 8:45 a.m. in a group with Spike McRoy and Garth Mulroy.
