Former Scots in Fort Worth Regional
The Baylor Bears baseball team was tabbed to play in an NCAA regional hosted by TCU in Fort Worth beginning on Friday.
Former Scots Joey Hainsfurther and Crayton Bare will look to help the Bears advance past the host Horned Frogs, Arizona, and Lamar.
Hainsfurther, a sophomore second baseman who also pitches, has started 52 games for the Bears this season. He is hitting .341 with 47 RBI and is second on the team in both categories. Bare, a freshman pitcher, has appeared in just four games this season.
Baylor (34-22) opens against Arizona (33-22) at 2 p.m. Friday at TCU’s Lupton Stadium. TCU (46-11) plays Lamar (35-24) at 7 p.m.
