Highland Park Has The Best Junk

Silver Hogue has written a story for next week’s edition of Oak Cliff People about Ricardo Hernandez, a former Bishop Arts District shoe store operator who’s now running an eco-friendly trash removal business called Junk Boys.

So why am I mentioning this on the Park Cities People site? Because of this passage:

While he has collected a brigade of surprising items from people’s homes, Hernandez said some of the most interesting come from Highland Park residents.

“When we go to Highland Park, all we get is good junk,” he said. “Good junk is anything that my kids will take and love. The refrigerator in my house is from a junk removal there.”

And who says we don’t recycle? We’re capitalists, we just pay people to recycle for us!
