I second the vote for Curling!
Maybe instead of adding a sport, we should look at the numbers when they have tryouts for the Middle School musicals and plays and add more productions. I was told that they had over 400 kids try out for less than 40 spots, doesn’t that say that a lot more kids want to participate? Isn’t middle school a time when you should be able to participate in a lot of activities and try them out?

    haha quidditch! yes, I agree…

or yoga…or stretch class…or walking/jogging…something for us lazy girls that don’t want to work ourselves to death but still want to get some exercise…all the sports at hp are too hardcore!

and I agree. I made the plays and playbill but I think its sad that people don’t get to be in the plays. come on. if you have that many people wanting to participate in the play, LET THEM DO SOMETHING. Most kids have to do plays up till 5th grade and if they are going out of their way to do it and they’ve taken their time practicing and trying out, they deserve a job. It was so fun and its not fair that people had to miss out on that. not fair at all and it breaks my heart so I’m going to stop talking about it. I think its cruel to do to such young kids.

Whether another sport is added or they expand the plays, you all ought to go see an Ultimate Frisbee match. It sort of like combining lacrosse and football. Its amazing. Its also player led and self officiated.

You can go to the HP Ultimate Frisbee page on Facebook and become a FAN. You will get updates about when they are playing in parks around HP. The night games with glow in the dark equipment are especially cool.

Ultimate Frisbee – of course! It is
    – a fun game that allows the players to self officiate
    – is exciting to watch as well as to play
    – seems to defy gravity like no other sport!
