Preston Royal Library Is Burning Up: Day 3
I am sitting in Preston Royal Library as I type this, enjoying the free Wi-Fi but most definitely not liking the lack of air conditioning. The temperature’s a few notches higher than it is outside, somewhere between muggy and sweltering. The AC went out Tuesday, I’m told. Branch manager Sharon Martin tells me they’re at work on the equipment now, so it should be repaired any minute. Still, now might be a good opportunity to avail yourself of DPL’s new digital download service. E-books, audiobooks, music, and video downloaded to computer from your own, hopefully air-conditioned, home.
