Medical City Fire Injures Three
A fire, caused by an electrical short, broke out at Medical City Sunday around 2 p.m., injuring three workers, according to information released this morning by Dallas Fire-Rescue.
Witnesses described hearing an explosion in a one-story structure near the loading dock of Building A. Investigators determined was accidental. It took 40 firefighters nearly an hour to extinguish the blaze.
Two of the injured workers were flown to Parkland Hospital for treatment. The third was treated at Medical City. The fire did not affect any patients or medical staff.
