Highland Park Advances to Regional Finals
It will be an all-Highland Park final in the girls doubles division of the Class 4A Region II Tournament Wednesday morning at Denton’s Waranch Tennis Complex.
Lady Scots Abby Stainback and Kristin Adams will take on teammates Alin Piranian and Sarah Cannon. Melanie Marlin also made it to the girls singles finals by sweeping both of her first two opponents in straight sets.
Also for HP, Jay Gillespie (boys singles), Chris Walters/Nicholas Elwood (boys doubles), and Andrew Schober/Kristen Mee (mixed doubles) will play in the consolation round to possible meet the finals loser for second place.
