Marcus Up Next for Jesuit

After surviving with a 2-1 shootout win over Coppell on Friday night at Hebron, the undefeated Jesuit Rangers soccer team will look to move one step closer to the state tournament when it faces Flower Mound Marcus at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lewisville’s Goldsmith Stadium.

The Rangers (20-0-0) fell behind against the Cowboys, but David Reilly evened the score with the only Jesuit goal of regulation. The Rangers, ranked No. 1 in ESPN Rise’s national high school poll, then won the shootout, 3-0.

Marcus (17-3-4) beat Jesuit, 1-0, in the regional finals in 2008.

The Jesuit-Marcus winner will face the El Paso Coronado-Arlington Martin winner in the regional semifinals on Friday in Midland. The regional final is on Saturday.
