Kids Love These Disruptions

They make the day go by faster and give them something to talk about at lunch.  Besides each other.

This just in from Lauri Norton, Principal of MIS/HPMS:

Dear MIS & HPMS Parents,

All students were evacuated this morning after smoke from a microwave in a break area set off the fire alarm. Students and staff evacuated in a quick and orderly fashion while the UP Fire Department inspected the building and determined that it was safe for everyone to return.

Students resumed their usual classroom routines following the evacuation.

@Avid Reader: We covered the pool renovation in October and November when it was being discussed by the UP City Council. Perhaps when the pool opens again, we could do an update.

What the email forgot to tell you…
BTW…the 5th graders who just sat down to eat lunch were rushed outside, made to wait, then not given a chance to go back into the cafeteria to finish their lunch.
Sorry, Had to vent. My 5th grade daughter came home starving.

Yes, the pool renovations were covered in October and November. I guess I missed the parts covering the fact that they would be re-introducing the high dive.
