In UP, Speak Tonight, Decide Tomorrow

Two big University Park City Council meetings happen at 5 p.m. today and tomorrow.

Tonight the Council will have a hearing on the proposed rezoning and conceptual site plan of the George W. Bush Presidential Center. The parking lots north of SMU Boulevard have been a real sticking point for the community. If you’ll recall, the Planning and Zoning Commission approved the plan last month with several provisions.

Tomorrow night, the Council will vote on the proposed rezoning of the Chase Bank property at Daniel and Hillcrest Avenues. The Legacy Hillcrest plan didn’t pass muster with the P&Z Commission.
