Real estate agent Alex Perry, an SMU graduate with a real estate finance degree from the Cox School of Business, made his way to Texas by way of Los Angeles and Rhode Island. He has been honored as one of D Magazine’s Best Real Estate Agents five years in a row, and is part of the top producing group at Allie Beth Allman & Associates – all while volunteering at Big Brothers of Texas, St. Jude’s Underwriting Committee, and Habitat for Humanity. When he actually takes time off, he enjoys hitting the links at Dallas’ Brook Hollow Golf Club.


What is the best advice you received when beginning your career? Find a niche market, and work harder than everyone else.

What is your business philosophy? No excuses…just solutions

What inspires you? Finding joy in providing a valuable service to my clients.

If you could tell 16-year-old you anything, what would you say? Do what you love, and you won’t feel like you are working hard. The money and success will follow.

What is your proudest career accomplishment? Becoming a well respected agent in the market with my peers. Having the respect of the people you work with everyday allows you to grow in the business you are in and gives you the confidence to reach any height.

What did you learn from your best boss or mentor? Take control of your clients. If you are confident in what you do, they will see that and react accordingly.

What was your first summer job? Tennis instructor for a summer camp.

What do you love about your community? I love how genuinely friendly and inviting Dallas is. Compared to most of the country Dallas welcomes new people like no other.

What is your fondest Park Cities or Preston Hollow memory? Going to SMU

Where will we find you enjoying your hard-earned time off? Brook Hollow Golf Course

What do you want your last meal to be? A good steak with friends

What is your favorite color? Blue

What fictional world or place would you like to visit? Some place in the future…always looking forward not back.

If you could be on a reality TV show, which one would you choose? Billions.. They are always a step ahead of everyone and making a deal

What would your superpower be? Deadpool..Superpower with a personality.
